Man arrested after Goodwin’s Footwear burgled

Gardaí have arrested a man after Goodwin’s Footware was burgled.

The shoe shop, located in Hynes Square in Portlaoise, was broken into on Monday night at around 10pm.

A lone male smashed the glass on the front door in order to gain entry.

He then proceeded to take a small amount of cash from the till before leaving.

However, gardaí confirmed to LaoisToday.ie that they had arrested a man in his 30s yesterday in relation to the robbery.

The man, who is from the area, was charged and sent forward to the District Court in Tullamore.
