St Fergal’s Rathdowney holding Open Evening on Thursday, October 24

St Fergal’s College in Rathdowney are holding their Open Evening for prospective students in the school on Thursday, October 24, from 5.30pm to 8pm.

All Fifth & Sixth Class students, along with their parents/guardians, are welcome to attend.

There will be a short address at 7pm and the evening will offer everyone a chance to take a tour of the school, learn about the subjects offered, talk to teachers, meet all the staff, and learn about the many activities that take place in our school community.

Students may enrol on the night – details will be given to 6th Class students in their Primary schools.

Founded by local people over 80 years ago, to provide education for the children of Rathdowney and surrounding countryside, St Fergal’s continues to grow, develop and continue the tradition of learning with the hard work of teachers and the support of successive Parents Councils and Boards of Management.

“We encourage all our students to fulfill their potential by working hard at their studies and participating in a wide range of activities, both cultural and sporting. As was highlighted in our Whole School Evaluation Report 2015 we “promote a caring and respectful ethos where every student can feel safe and happy,” says principal Dominic McEvoy.
