WATCH: Tractors needed to rescue Nathan Carter in Ballyroan

For the second year running, Nathan Carter performed to thousands in Ballyroan.

The Country and Western singer was the star attraction at the Ballyroan 2017 festival, a huge fundraiser for the Ballyroan-Abbey GAA club and hosted in massive marquee on the club grounds in Ballyroan.

And while the heavy rain that fell on Sunday evening didn’t dampen the spirits of the concert-goers, it left Carter and his production team with a serious problem as their articulated lorry, carrying all of their equipment, had to be pulled from the ground by two local farmers in tractors.

“Nathan didn’t want to go home,” joked the Ballyroan festival Facebook page. “He had to be pulled out kicking and screaming.”

Carter himself paid tribute on his own Facebook page to “the tractor boys of Ballyroan” and his accompanying video has been viewed almost 60,000 times.

The festival was again a massive success with fans already looking forward to the 2018 event.
