Fianna Fail TD welcomes new bus service in Laois

The new bus service begins this week
Laois has a huge number of people commuting

Fianna Fáil TD Seán Fleming has heralded the announcement of a new bus service in Laois as ‘excellent news’.

The service is being provided by Slieve Bloom Coach Tours/Town Link and begins in Laois this week.

Deputy Fleming said: “This new bus service will provide 3 buses each way, Monday to Saturday, from Mountrath, Castletown, Pike of Rushall, Borris in Ossory and Errill into Portlaoise.

“There will be 3 stops in Portlaoise at the Shopping Centre, the Hospital and Kilminchy Lane.

“People in these areas will be very pleased to know this is a new service which operates in addition to the Kavanagh buses that run on the road from Borris in Ossory through Mountrath to Portlaoise.

“Town Link and Slieve Bloom Coach tours are making a good investment and I hope the word spreads of this service and people in these areas use this facility for getting in and out to Portlaoise.”
