County final fever has been all over Laois in recent weeks and today we headed for the Offaly border.

Here, we caught up with the boys and girls of Clonaghadoo NS who are gearing up for their Laois JFC final on Saturday evening.

Their team, Kilcavan, will take on St Joseph’s with promotion to the Intermediate grade up for grabs.

There are 117 boys and girls in the school and they all turned the school maroon.

Centre back Mick Bermingham also teaches fourth class and he was on hand to provide the kids with a history lesson on Kilcavan’s route to the final.

We all then headed to the hall where the kids came together and played two songs to inspire the team.

They chose ‘Foggy Due’ and ‘Lovely Laois’ and you can hear that below.

We also went from class to class to get pictures of each of the children in the colours.
