Gardaí appeal after quad bike stolen in Portarlington

Gardaí are appealing for information after a quad bike was stolen in Portarlington.

The incident occured overnight on October 8 into the following day from 5pm to 4am.

The bike was taken from a farm yard on the Edenderry Road area of the town.

It was later recovered some 1km away at the entrance to the Bord na Mona Bog.

Gardaí are appealing for information or any witnesses to come forward.

In an unrelated incident, an injured swan had to be removed from the M7 motorway yesterday.

There was a slight disruption to traffic at the time.
