    The death has occurred of Eamonn Downey of Ballinalea, Ashford and late of Killoughter who passed away 23rd October 2017, peacefully at St. Vincent Community Nursing Unit Mountmellick, Co. Laois. Dearly beloved husband of the late Joan and loving father of Francis, Caroline, Sylvia and Doris. Fondly remembering his late brother and sister Tom and Betty. Sadly missed by his loving family, his sister Kathleen, grandchildren Ana, Isabella, Layla, Hope, Kate, Keeva, Tom, Lucy, Samuel, Emma, Ruby and Jamie, sisters-in-law Maura, Ann, Brigid and Kathleen, brothers-in-law Tony and Michael, daughter in law Sinead, sons-in-law Gerry, Conor and Mark, extended family and friends.

    Eamonn will repose at Sylvia and Conor’s home, Herdshill, Bullford Farm, Kilcoole on Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford (walking from GAA pitch), arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by interment in Killoughter Cemetery.

    May he rest in peace.

    John (Jack) O’Brien
    Kilcavan, Geashill, Laois

    Died peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Esker Ri Nursing Home, Clara. Sadly missed by his wife Phyl, daughters Maire, Niamh, Emer, Ciara and Sinead, sons Niall and Enda, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sisters Clare and Josie (Pittsburgh), relatives, neighbours and friends.

    Reposing in his home on Wednesday from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm. Reposing on Thursday from 2pm to 5pm with family time thereafter. Removal from his home on Thursday evening at 6:15 to St Mary’s Church Clonaghadoo arriving at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery.

    Rev. Joseph Joe (José) Campion SAC C.C.
    Castlecomer, Kilkenny / Errill, Laois

    Fr. Joe (José) Campion, SAC C.C. Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Lisduff, Errill, Co. Laois. Fr. Joe died on Saturday 21st October peacefully in Saint Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny after a short illness.

    Deeply regretted by his fellow Priests and Brothers of the Pallottine Society, his sister Frances Conroy (Portlaoise), sisters-in-law Statia (Lisduff) and Tess (Levalley), nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, great grand-nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, retired Bishops and Priests of the Diocese of Ossory & also a wide circle of friends both in Ireland and Argentina and especially in the parishes of Castlecomer and Freshford.

    He is pre-deceased by his parents Edward and Margaret Campion (Lisduff), sisters Joan Fitzpatrick (St. Theresa’s Nursing Home, Thurles), Mary Raphael (died in childhood) brothers, Miko (Cork), Charlie (Lisduff), Eddie (Walkinstown and Donaghmore), Peter (Drimnagh), Paddy (Levalley), Noel (Clontarf).

    Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer on Wednesday 25th October from 6pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8pm. Reposing at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer on Thursday 26th October from 4pm. Reception Prayers and Rosary at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon followed by burial in the Old Cemetery in Rathdowney, County Laois.

    No flowers please, donations if desired to the Pallottine Fathers for the continuation of Fr. Joe’s Missionary Work of 40 years in Argentina.

    Formerly O’Moore’s Forest, Mountmellick. Peacefully at St Vincent’s Hospital Mountmellick. Loving wife of the late Patsy and dear sister of the late Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Mary and her partner Paddy, son Joe and his wife Tracey, son Aidan, grandchildren, Kealynn, Paddy (Jun) and Brooklyn, sisters Margaret, Bernie, Mary and Dolores, brother John, extended family, relatives and friends. Rest in peace. Reposing at her residence on Saturday from 5pm with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Sunday at 11:30am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12:15pm. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington. House Private On Sunday Morning Please.

    The death has occurred of Michael McDonald, Arles, Ballickmoyler, Co.Carlow, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2017 at Signature Nursing Home, Killerig, Co.Carlow.

    Beloved husband of the late Kathleen, much loved father of Paddy, Christine and the late Rosemary, adored grandfather of Darragh, Ciaran, Padraig, Michael and Sophie, great-grandfather of Aliyah and cherished brother of Joan, Liam and Steven.

    He will be sadly missed by his loving son, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchild, son-in-law Francis, daughter-in-law Colette, brothers, sister, sister-in-law Elizabeth, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

    Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, Carlow from 2p.m on Saturday with removal at 7 p.m. to The Sacred Heart Church, Arles arriving at 7.30 p.m. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m on Sunday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    The death has occurred of Mary O’Donnell (nee Conroy), Derrin, Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois. Oct. 19. 2017. Peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her husband Martin (Murt). Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her loving family, son Cathal, daughter Fiona, sister Bridget, daughter-in-law Teresa, son-in-law Craig, grandsons Cillian, Oisin, Cormac and Martin, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and her many friends. Funeral Mass on Sunday 22nd. Oct. at 11 o’c with burial immediately afterwards in Derrinsallagh Cemetery, Borris-in-Ossory. Family flowers only please.     The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Bessie) Dobson (née Haslam), Ballycarroll, Stradbally, Laois

    Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, in the care of the staff at Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally on 18th October 2017. Deeply regretted by her loving family.

    Removal from Droimnin Nursing Home at 6.30pm on Friday, 20th October, to arrive at The Holy Trinity Church, The Rock for 7pm. Funeral Service at 3pm Saturday followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard.

    Shinrone, Offaly / Laois; Elizabeth Heather: Guyana and formerly of Kilmurry Rectory, Shinrone, Co. Offaly. A Memorial Service for Heather Sharma (Murray) will be held in St. Mary’s Church of Ireland, Shinrone at 2.00 p.m. on Sunday, 22nd October.
