Kelly, Market Sq., Portlaoise, Oct. 30th 2017, peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family. John (Snr) beloved husband of Margaret and dearly loved father to John, Ray, Zita, Fergal, Orlaith and Olivia. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brother William, sisters Josie and Lucy, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 4 pm on Tuesday with rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Wednesday at 12 noon to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12.30 noon requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery. House private on Wednesday, please.

Sr. Elizabeth Maher
St. Leo’s Convent of Mercy, Carlow Town, Carlow/Rathdowney, Laois

Sr. Elizabeth Maher died October 30th 2017 in her 98th year, formerly of Rathdowney, Co. Laois. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Annie; brothers Mick, Jim and Bill.

Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Judy, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, loving Community, relatives and friends. Reposing at the Convent Chapel from 2pm on Tuesday with prayers at 5.15pm followed by removal to the Cathedral of the Assumption to arrive for 6.15pm Mass. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Ballard, Barna, Galway/Laois

Formerly of Cashel, Co. Tipperary and Swindon, England, Beloved husband of Maggie and cherished father of The Late Deirdre, will be sadly missed by His wife, sons Sean and Michael, sisters, brothers, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relaties, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at The Cillín within Barna Church this Tuesday 31st October from 6.00pm removal at 7.30pm to the church. Mass on Wednesday at 11.00am, with funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Emo, Co. Laois.

Main Street, Castletown, Laois/Cashel, Tipperary

Josie Coss, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Oct. 28. 2017, (peacefully) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise in the loving care of her family and the Staff at Portlaoise Hospital. Predeceased by her husband William (Billy) and her grandson Nathan. Deeply regretted and will be saddly missed by her loving family ,daughter Bernie, sons Liam and Raymond, brother John, sister Bridget, Mary, Eileen and Teresa, daughter in law Ann, grandchildren Laura, Jamie, Eric, Leeanne and Chloe, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and her many friends. Reposing at Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown, Mountrath, this Monday evening from 6 o’c with rosary in the Funeral Home at 8 o’c. Removal on Tuesday morning 31st. Oct. to St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown, for Funeral Mass at 11 o’c with burial immediately afterwards in Churchtown Cemetery, Castletown. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu if desired to Laois Palliative Care. House Stictly Private Please.

Formerly of Portlaoise, Co. Laois and Newbridge College. Beloved husband of Kathleen, loving father of Bríd, Noelle, Pauline, JJ and Catherine and devoted grandfather of Brendán, Clare, Alison, Patrick, Jessica and Ciara. Very sadly missed and dearly loved by his family, his sister Maura, brothers Har and Tom, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at his residence on Monday (30th) from 5pm with Prayers at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 9.30am to arrive at The Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas for Requiem Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas.

Francis Houlahan
9 Lakeglen, Portlaoise, Laois

Predeceased by his wife Pauline and son Francis. Much loved father of Susie, Liz, Michael, James, David, Nicole and Becky. Deeply regretted by his loving family, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Mary Boland (née Doyle)
Strahard, Mountmellick, Laois

Died in the wonderful care of the Staff of Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home Portlaoise. Beloved wife of the late Joe-Deeply regretted by her brothers Joe,Tony, and sisters Kathleen, Nora and Agnes, brother and sister in law, nieces, nephews, grandneices, nephews relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be announced on Friday morning.

Formerly of Castletown Road and Fr.O Connor Cresent Mountrath. Died peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaois. Deeply regretted by her family Eileen,Denis,John,Tony,Dave,Noel,Patrick and Stephen, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, greatgreatgrandchildren, brother Tony, daughters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick on Tuesday morning from 9.30am with Prayers at 9.45am. Removal at 10.15am to St.Fintans Church Mountrath arriving for 11 O’Clock Requiem Mass. Burial after in St. Fintans Cemetery Mountrath.
