FRIDAY 3 NOVEMBER

Samhain Festival

The ‘Rambling House’ returns once again this year to Sheeran’s Pub, Coolrain as part of the Samhain Festival at 9.30pm. Craic agus ceoil guaranteed.

SATURDAY 4 NOVEMBER

Coffee Morning 

There will be a coffe morning at Eddie and Mai Clare’s home, Ballaghmore, in aid of St Molua’s Church, Kyle from 12 noon.

Madhatters Dance

Madhatters are holding a black-tie Dinner Dance in the Manor Hotel, Abbeyleix at 8pm.

Antiques and Fine Arts 

Get set for a day of antiques and fine arts at Roundwood House from 10am to 4.30pm. Includes Afternoon Tea and a tour of the house. Contact Heritage House Abbeyleix on 057 8731653 for bookings.

New Laois beer to be launched

SUNDAY 5 NOVEMBER

Something to Crow about

All are welcome to, ‘The Secret Lives of Crows’ – a presentation by ornithologist Ricky Whelan of BirdWatch Ireland and the Irish Wildlife Trust at Roundwood House, Mountrath on Sunday, November 5 at 6pm.

Entry is free but places limited. Booking essential.

Even more Birdwatching 

The Laois branch of Birdwatch Ireland are going on an outing to Broadmeadows Estuary Meeting at the County Council offices at 9am.

Slieve Bloom Walks

This week the Slieve Bloom Walks will take place at the White Horse Falls. Those looking to walk the 12km are to meet at the Cattle Mart, Mountrath, at 11am.
