Is it okay to talk about Christmas yet? Well the whole of the county will be talking about it after all the Christmas crafts, concerts and markets this weekend!
FRIDAY 1 DECEMBER

Christmas Concert

There is a Christmas concert with 65 Kitchen Choir in the Dunamaise Arts Centre. Tickets are €16 and are available in the Dunamaise.

Laois GAA Awards

The Laois GAA Awards are taking place in the Midlands Park Hotel tonight. For more inofrmation on who’s receiving awards, see here.

Christy O’Brien DVD

A DVD celebrating the achievements of Borris in Ossory hurling legend Christy O’Brien will take palce at the Racket Hall Hotel, Roscrea tonight. Great music and food will also be provided.

Christmas Crafts

Parent and child Christmas crafts are being held in Portlaoise library from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Dancing in Port

There is a fundraising night for Portarlington St Vincent de Paul with music by Done and Dusted.

Drama in Errill

Errill Drama Group are performing the comedy, “A Widow’s Paradise” in St Bernardette’s Hall until Sunday 3 December nightly at 8.30pm.

SATURDAY 2 DECEMBER

Light for Lives rally

There is a ‘Light for Lives’ rally in support of the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise from 5pm to 7pm. More details to follow.

Craft Fair

The Abbeyleix Christmas Craft Fair takes place all today.

Christmas Market

A Christmas Market is taking place on Main Street Mountrath today and again on Saturday 16 December from 10am to 2pm.

Carol and Candle evening

There is a Carol and Candle evening to support the Cuisle Centre from 5pm.
