Formerly of Clonenagh, Mountrath, Laois. Peacefully at home in the loving care of his wife Kathleen (née Bennett). Loving brother of the late John and Steven. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kathleen, brothers Denis, Michael and Br Charlie, sisters Brigid and Sr Mary, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Rest In Peace. Reposing at his residence on Friday from 6pm with Rosary on Saturday and Sunday at 9pm. Removal on Monday at 10:30am arriving St Mary’s Church, Raheen, Geashill for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to St Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath arriving at 1:15pm. House Private on Monday Morning Please.

Mary Mulhall (Née Booth)
New Inn, Emo, Laois

Died peacefully at The Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her husband Edward. Deeply regretted by her daughter Kathleen and her son Eddie, son-in-law Willie and daughter-in-law Kathleen, grandchildren Fionan, Sinead, Billy, Karen, Cynthia, Melissa and James, great-grandchildren Holly, Hazel, Clodagh, Isabella, Aoibhinn, Oliver and Kaylan, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends. Reposing in The Chapel of Rest at The Regional Hospital, Portlaoise from 8pm this Friday evening. Recital of The Rosary at 8.15pm. Reposing on Saturday in The Chapel of Repose from 5pm. Removal at 6.20pm to St. Paul’s Church, Emo arriving at 7.20pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 2pm. Burial after in The New Cemetery.

Stella Beegan (née Kelly)
Santry, Dublin / Mountrath, Laois

December 27th 2017, (peacefully) at the Mater Hospital, beloved wife of the late Frank and dear mother of Clive, Trevor, Audrey, Shirley, Lorna & Peter; deeply regretted by her loving family, sister Lorna, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal on Saturday morning, 30th December 2017, from Lanigan’s Funeral Home, 21 Beaumont Road to St. Pappan’s Church of Ireland, Santry for a Funeral Service at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the Mater Hospital Foundation.

Brocca, Clonaslee, Laois

Michael (Mick) McRedmond, Brocca, Clonaslee Co. Laois, died peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore on the 26th of December 2017. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Elizabeth and brothers Francis and Kevin.

He will be very sadly missed by his sorrowing sisters, Mary, Betty, Bridie, Kathleen and Carmel, brothers, Seamus, Martin, Liam and Gerry, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. ​Reposing at the residence of his sister Bridie and Sean Conroy, Ballyfarrell, Clonaslee, from 6pm on Wednesday evening with Rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St. Manman’s Church Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St Manman’s Cemetery Clonaslee.

LEECH, MICHAEL. Ridge Road, Portlaoise, County Laois. Formerly of Kellystown, Wolfhill. 26th December 2017 (peacefully) at home in the loving presence of his broken-hearted daughters. Beloved husband of the late Maggie and devoted father to Anne (Peters), Elizabeth (Long), Colette (Ging), Geraldine (Evans) and Michelle (Cass); loving grandfather to David, Stephen, Tom, Daniel, Matthew, Emily, Harry, Keelin, Elliott and Vivienne. Very sadly missed by his family, sons-in-law, brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at his residence from 5 p.m. on Wednesday, with rosary at 8 p.m., and from 2 p.m. on Thursday. Removal on Thursday evening to St. Mary’s Church, Wolfhill, for arrival at 7.30 p.m. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ballyadams.

Gerard Phelan, Kingsriver Community, Ennisag, Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny and formerly Daly Terrace, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. Peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. December 25th 2017. Sadly missed by his brothers Tom, Pat and John-Joe and his sister Theresa, sisters in law Jet, Catherine and Valerie, nephews, nieces, relatives and all his friends at Kingsriver. Reposing at Kingsriver Community on Wednesday with prayers at 8:30. Removal on Thursday morning at 10.30 to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney.

Dec.26. 2017 (peacefully) in Miguel House. Predeceased by his brothers James, John and Thomas, sisters Mary, Kathleen and Patricia. Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, relatives and friends, his confreres in the Christian Brothers and by the community and staff of Miguel House. Reposing in Miguel House on Thursday, the 28th.Dec., from 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, the 29th.Dec., in The Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Loughmore at 11.30am. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Dec. 26th. 2017 (peacefully), at Miguel House in his 101st year. Predeceased by his brothers Con and Jim and sisters Maureen and Kitty. A much-loved uncle and sadly missed by his nephews and grand-nephews, nieces and grand-neices, his confreres in The Christian Brothers and the community and staff of Miguel House. Reposing in Miguel House this Wednesday, the 27th.Dec. Funeral Mass this Thursday, Dec. 28th. at 10 o’c. in the Monastery Chapel, Castletown followed by burial in The Christian Brothers Cemetery in Marino (M.I.E.), Dublin, arriving at 12.30 o’c. approximately.

Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Glenashling Nursing Home, Celbridge. Beloved wife of the late Paddy and much loved mother of Anne, Sheila, Mary and Teresa. Sadly missed by her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister in law, sons in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Phelan’s Funeral Home, Durrow from 10.00am on Wednesday morning. Funeral prayers at 1.30pm on Wednesday followed by removal to Holy Trinity Church, Durrow, for Requiem Mass at 2.00pm. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Helen died suddenly at her residence. Deeply regretted by her husband Joe, daughter Alice, parents Stephen and Moira, brother, sisters, uncles, aunts, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her son Christopher, brother Eugene and sister Patricia. Reposing at Phelan’s Funeral Home, Durrow from 11 am on Thursday morning and Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass at 12 oc on Friday in The Holy Trinity Church, Durrow. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
