Morrissey (Teresa) Portlaoise and late of Glasnevin, Dublin and Coalbrook, Thurles. December 30th 2017. Pecefully at her residence. Predeceased by her parents Martin and Johanna, brothers John and Ned and sister Mary. Sadly missed by her brother Dick and Martin, sisters Sr Eileen, Sr Johanna, Catherine, Anne, Angela and Margaret, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces. Relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Brendan Kelly
Tinweir, Durrow, Laois/Mayo

Peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Beloved husband of Vera and father to Simon, Ronan and Tara. Deeply regretted by his loving family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.
Rest in Peace. Reposing at his residence from 12.00 noon on Sunday with Rosary at 8.00pm. Removal to Holy Trinity Church, Durrow on Monday morning for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Monday morning please.

Drumcondra, Dublin/Rathdowney, Laois

Tony Brophy, Drumcondra, Dublin and Bealady, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, December 29th 2017. Peacefully in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Bon Secours Hospital, Dublin, ex An Garda Síochána, predeceased by his wife Catherine. Beloved father of Michelle and Colm and grandfather of Jamie. Sadly mourned by his brothers and sisters, Phyllis, Elsie, Ted, Declan and Gay, sister-in-law Elaine, brothers-in-law Adrian, Eddie, David and Billy, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and all his former colleagues. Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney on Monday evening from 2pm with funeral prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney at 12 noon followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney. Family flowers only by request, donations can be made at Tony’s funeral to the Peter McVerry Trust.

Morette, Emo, Laois/Ballybrittas, Laois

Formerly Closeland, Ballybrittas, Co Laois. Loving wife of the late Michael and dear mother of the late Jackie. Deeply regretted by her loving family Audrey, Denis, Michael, Georgina, Stephanie and Thomas, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Rest In Peace. Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday at 11:15am arriving St John’s Church, Killenard for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to the New Cemetery, Emo.

Formerly of Clonenagh, Mountrath, Laois. Peacefully at home in the loving care of his wife Kathleen (née Bennett). Loving brother of the late John and Steven. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Kathleen, brothers Denis, Michael and Br Charlie, sisters Brigid and Sr Mary, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Rest In Peace. Reposing at his residence on Friday from 6pm with Rosary on Saturday and Sunday at 9pm. Removal on Monday at 10:30am arriving St Mary’s Church, Raheen, Geashill for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to St Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath arriving at 1:15pm. Liam Doyle, Coolrain, Ballickmoyler Co. Carlow, passed away peacefully at The Sacred Heart Hospital, Carlow,on December 29th, 2017. Much loved brother of Pat and Mary. He will be sadly missed by his loving brother, sister, brother-in-law Martin Mannion, sister-in-law Imelda Doyle, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, Carlow on Saturday from 1p.m with Prayers at 7.30p.m. Removal on Sunday at 9.45a.m to the Holy Cross Church, Killeshin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.15a.m. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Died peacefully at The Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her husband Edward. Deeply regretted by her daughter Kathleen and her son Eddie, son-in-law Willie and daughter-in-law Kathleen, grandchildren Fionan, Sinead, Billy, Karen, Cynthia, Melissa and James, great-grandchildren Holly, Hazel, Clodagh, Isabella, Aoibhinn, Oliver and Kaylan, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends. Reposing in The Chapel of Rest at The Regional Hospital, Portlaoise from 8pm this Friday evening. Recital of The Rosary at 8.15pm. Reposing on Saturday in The Chapel of Repose from 5pm. Removal at 6.20pm to St. Paul’s Church, Emo arriving at 7.20pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 2pm. Burial after in The New Cemetery.

Beegan – Stella (nee Kelly) (Santry, Dublin & formerly of Mountrath, Co. Laois) – December 27th 2017, (peacefully) at the Mater Hospital, beloved wife of the late Frank and dear mother of Clive, Trevor, Audrey, Shirley, Lorna & Peter; deeply regretted by her loving family, sister Lorna, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, relatives, neighbours and friends. Removal on Saturday morning, 30th December 2017, from Lanigan’s Funeral Home, 21 Beaumont Road to St. Pappan’s Church of Ireland, Santry for a Funeral Service at 11am. Michael (Mick) McRedmond, Brocca, Clonaslee Co. Laois, died peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore on the 26th of December 2017. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Elizabeth and brothers Francis and Kevin.

He will be very sadly missed by his sorrowing sisters, Mary, Betty, Bridie, Kathleen and Carmel, brothers, Seamus, Martin, Liam and Gerry, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. ​Reposing at the residence of his sister Bridie and Sean Conroy, Ballyfarrell, Clonaslee, from 6pm on Wednesday evening with Rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St. Manman’s Church Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St Manman’s Cemetery Clonaslee. House Strictly Private on Thursday morning please.

LEECH, MICHAEL. Ridge Road, Portlaoise, County Laois. Formerly of Kellystown, Wolfhill. 26th December 2017 (peacefully) at home in the loving presence of his broken-hearted daughters. Beloved husband of the late Maggie and devoted father to Anne (Peters), Elizabeth (Long), Colette (Ging), Geraldine (Evans) and Michelle (Cass); loving grandfather to David, Stephen, Tom, Daniel, Matthew, Emily, Harry, Keelin, Elliott and Vivienne. Very sadly missed by his family, sons-in-law, brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at his residence from 5 p.m. on Wednesday, with rosary at 8 p.m., and from 2 p.m. on Thursday. Removal on Thursday evening to St. Mary’s Church, Wolfhill, for arrival at 7.30 p.m. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ballyadams.
