Sean Keane concert in Donaghmore Workhouse Museum 

There will be a concert in Donaghmore Workhouse Museum featuring the popular Sean Keane on that night. Tickets are on sale in the Card Stand or from Carmel at 087 2972305. A percentage of proceeds from the night will go to Laois Hospice.

Social in Killameestia

The monthly parish social will take place in Killameestia Community Centre with music by Peter Burke at 9.30pm.

Mountmellick Macra

Mountmellick Macra’s forst club meeting of 2018 takes place in the Macra Hall at 8.30pm.

Portlaoise Pantomine

Portlaoise Pantomine are holding their opening night for ‘Beauty and the Beast’. The Panto will last until Saturday January 27. Tickets are available from the Dunamaise Box Office, visit here for more details.

Laois camogie awards night

The Laois camogie awards night takes place in Castle Arms, Durrow at 7.30pm.

Nature trail in Abbeyleix 

Abbeyleix Heritage House are running an exciting kids workshop this Saturday from 2pm to 4pm. The workshop includes a nature trail and will make birdhouses afterwards. To book call 057 8731653.

Ballypickas Dinner Dance 

Ballypickas GAA are holding their dinner dance in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel at 7.30pm.

Arch Inn Pool Tournament

The Arch Inn, Ballinakill, is holding a scotch doubles pool tournament from 1pm. This will be followed by music by the Dooley brothers at 7pm.

Great Heath 10k Run 

The Great Heath Run begins at 11.00am.

Stradbally, Vicarstown and Timahoe (SVT) walks

SVT Sports Hub are holding a walk from Vicarstown to Wooden Bridge for a three-hour walk on Sunday. Walkers are to meet at Crean’s at 11.45am.
