The Portlaoise St Patrick’s Day parade committee are currently on the lookout for groups from the community who would like to take part in the parade.
Any club or group young or old can enter as the parade takes to the streets on March 17.
The parade will kick off from the Laois County Hall at 12.30pm. It will make its way down James Fintan Lalor Avenue to the church roundabouts, up Bridge Street and Main Street and ends in the Market Square.
Businesses can also pay to enter the parade.
Fundraising quiz
The committee are also holding a fundraising table quiz to raise funds for the parade. The quiz takes place in Kavanaghs on Thursday, March 1 at 8.30pm.
