Laois girl chosen as Irish Rugby Mascot for Wales game

A rugby mad Laois fan will be doing the whole county proud when walking out as the Irish Rugby Mascot in their Six Nations game against Wales next Saturday.

Fiadh Lawlor, who plays in U-9 for Portarlington Rugby Club, was selected in Aldi’s ‘Ireland’s biggest little fan’ competition.

Fiadh will walk out with the boys in green onfor their game against Wales in the Aviva as an Official NatWest Six Nations 2018 mascot on Saturday, February 24.

Fiadh has been described as ‘rugby mad’ by her mother and has played the game since the age of five with Portarlington Rugby Club.

Nine year old Fiadh goes to school in Emo where they are all thrilled about the future rugby star getting to make her mark in the Aviva stadium.

Fiadh will be joined by her mam and her dad as they received tickets for the Presidential box for the game.

Well done to Fiadh on this great achievement and best of luck to her on Saturday!
