Bridie Conroy (Nee Dunne) (Retired National Teacher), O Moore Street, Mountmellick. Peacefully in the loving care of the Staff of Kilminchy Lodge. Beloved wife ot the late Paddy. Deeply regretted by her loving family and friends.

Family flowers only. Dontations if desired to The Ben & Jake Foundation. Donation Box will be in place in the Funeral Home and Church.

James (Jim) Holland, West Norwood, S.E. London (formerly of Ardleigh, Mountrath, Co. Laois) Peacefully in Kings College Hospital (London) on 30th March 2018. Predeceased by his wife Eileen (nee Cox) of Huntsfield, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo. Dearly beloved father of Linda, Kevin, Geraldine and Eamon. Deeply regretted by his family, his brother Richard (Dick) Holland, Stoneleigh, Surry, his sister Peggy Sinnott, Rosenallis, Co. Laois, his brother-in-law Bill, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and former “Kings Head” customers.

Funeral Mass on Monday 23rd April at 1.30pm in St. Matthew’s R.C. Church, West Norwood, London SE27 followed by Cremation Service.

Rodger (Rody) Phelan, Two-Mile, Borris, Co. Tipperary, (formerly of St. Bridget’s Square, Portarlington and Clonterry, Mountmellick, Co. Laois) Predeceased by his brother Michael. Peacefully in the home of his daughter Angela & John Tully, Two-Mile, Borris. Deeply regretted by his children Rodger, Goretti, Louise, Caroline, Angela, Michael, Adrian, and Orla, grand-children Tasha and Alex, great-grandchildren, brother Jim, sisters Louise and Angela, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law neighbours, relatives and many friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing in the home of Angela, John, Tasha & Alex Tully, Two-Mile, Borris from 3pm on Thursday with Recital of the Rosary at 9pm. Funeral arriving on Friday for 11am Requiem Mass in St. James’ Church, Two-Mile, Borris. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick, Co. Laois. Arriving at 1.30pm approx.

Nancy died peacefully at The Regional Hospital, Portlaoise and is predeceased by her husband Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Eamon and David, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren Sean, Darragh and Owen, relatives and friends. Reposing at her residence from 6pm on Wednesday evening with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Thursday evening at 8.10pm to St. Fintan’s Church, Raheen arriving at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the ICU at The Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.

Walsh, The Glebe, Donaghmore, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. April 9th 2018, Unexpectedly, Seamus, sadly mourned by his family and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at his son Trevor’s residence (The Glebe, Donaghmore) on Thursday from 3pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass in Killasmeestia Church on Friday at 11am followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney.

No flowers by request, donations can be made at Seamus’s funeral to The Irish Heart Foundation.

Patricia (Patty) O’Boyle (née Mellon)

Patricia (Patty) O’Boyle died peacefully at the Mater Private Hospital, Dublin surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Charlie and much loved mother of Paul, Cathal, Niall, Niamh, Carmel and Edward. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, brothers Frank and Raphael and the late Kieran, sisters Carmel, Betty and Evelyn, sons-in-law Paul and Pat, daughters-in-law Niamh, Jenny and Sinead, grandchildren Michael, Aoife, Ellen, Luke, Charlie, Heather, Oran, Darragh, Rosalyn, Kyna, Orla, Tegan, Sibéal and Ross, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at her home from 2pm on Tuesday (April 10th) with removal that evening to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, to arrive for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Family flowers only, please, donations in lieu to St. Clare’s Hospitality Kitchen, Graiguecullen.

Murtagh (Murt) Brennan
Brooklodge, Massford, Castlecomer, Kilkenny/Laois

Murt died peacefully in the care of the Matron and staff of St Luke’s General Hospital, Kilkenny. He will be remembered by his daughter Mary, son Murt, brother Joe and by Nell, Zena and family. Reposing at Moran’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer, from 2pm Sunday. Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7pm Sunday evening. Funeral prayers at 10am Monday followed by removal to the Church Of The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mayo, Crettyard, Co Laois for reception prayers and funeral Mass at 11am. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Elizabeth (Nellie) Brophy

Died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home. R.I.P Predeceased by her husband Paul & her daughter Margaret. Sadly missed by her sons Peter & Paul, daughter Marian. Grandchildren Laura, Johnny, Niall, Anna, Joe, Peter & David. Great-grandchildren Emma, John, Ella, Julie,Adam & Cormac. Her nephew Jim, neighbours, relatives & friends. Reposing on Sunday evening in Moloney’s Funeral Home from 7 O’clock with Rosary at 9 O’clock. Removal on Monday morning at 11:15 A.M to St.Peter & Paul’s Church Portlaoise for 12 o’clock Requirm mass. Burial afterwards in St.Bridget’s cemetary Rosenallis.

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Michael and Ann’s home in Mornington. Loving wife of the late Jim and dear mother of the late Pat and Barry and loving grandmother of infant Safia White. Sadly missed by her loving children Ann, Cabrini, Madeline and son Seamus, sons-in-law Mike, Martin and Stephen, daughters-in-law, Catherine, Deidre and Maria, her cherished grandchildren and her large circle of family and friends. Reposing at her residence from 2pm today, Saturday, with Rosary at 9pm. Removal to the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, for Requiem Mass at 11am on Sunday. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Martin, sadly mourned by his sister-in-law Bridget Campion (Coolkerry), nephews, nieces and his good friend Vera, relatives and friends. Reposing at O’ Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney, on Monday evening from 7pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon in The Church Of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, followed by burial in Rathdowney local cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations can be made at Martin’s funeral to The National Council For The Blind, (Portlaoise).

Nicholls (Bob) Ballycarnan, Portlaoise. April 5th 2018. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Portlaoise Regional Hosp. Predeceased by his wife Betty and son George. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Joan, sons Harry, Billy, Eddie, and Ken, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his carer Jos, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his son Eddie’s house at Ballycarnan from 4 pm on Friday with prayers at 8 pm. Funeral Service at 11 am on Saturday morning as St Peter’s Church, Market Sq., Portlaoise. Interment will follow in the adjoining graveyard.
