Rathdowney-Errill hosting a fun run

Another busy weekend ahead in Laois this weekend with lots going on including family fun runs, Ballyfin awards night, and Killeshin pipe band are performing again this weekend.

FRIDAY, APRIL 13

Killeshin Pipe Band 

Killeshin Pipe Band are hosting the Oisin Players in their upcoming drama, “The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley” at 8pm in the Glenside Lounge. Ticekts cost €10.

SATURDAY, APRIL 14

Ballyfin Awards night

Ballyfin will be hosting their awards nights to celebrate their Senior A victory in the Deadmans Inn pub on Saturday night at 8pm. They will also honour their Junior hurling winning side from 1967.

ACFL Division 2 

Annanough Vs Courtwood at 7.30pm in Annanough. A clash of two old rivals in the league. These neighbours haven’t met since 2015 in the championship so we can expect a spicy affair.

Rathdowney EasyRiders Fundraiaser Launch

Rathdowney’s EasyRiders meets this weekend to announce its cycle destination and chosen charity for 2018. The launch takes place on Saturday April 14, at 9pm in Iano’s Bar. All are welcome.

SUNDAY, APRIL 15

Camross 5K Family Fun Run 

Registration from 11am on Sunday morning in the Community Hall. Refreshments afterwards. Kids go free. €10 for adults.

Slieve Bloom Walks 

John Scully will be leading Sunday’s walk meeting at Lough Boora Car Park at 11am for a 12km walk. Duration: 4 hours.

Wildlife Walk/ Talk 

Wildlife walk and talk with Collie Ennis, at Abbeyleix Heritage House at 12pm on Sunday. No booking required. For queries contact iwtlaoisoffaly@gmail.com.

Point to Point 

The first of the annual point to point races hosted by the Laois Hunt takes place in Stradablly hall this Sunday. All are welcome. First race is at 2.30pm.
