Cahill (nee Deighton) Ratheniska, Stradbally, Co. Laois, April 26th 2018. Peacefully in the tender care of Ballard Lodge Nursing Home. Brigid (Bridie), beloved wife of the late Jim. Deeply regretted by her loving sons John, Michael, James, daughters Sheila, Agnes, Breda, Noreen, Mary and Ann, sisters Hannah, and Sr. Adele (South Korea), brother Nicholas, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law., grandchildren, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her residence from 4 pm on Friday, with rosary recital at 8 pm. Funeral arriving at the Church of the Holy Cross, Ratheniska for 3 pm. Mass on Saturday. Interment will follow in adjoining cemetery. House private on Saturday please. Family flowers only.

Eilish Maher (née Lalor)
Main Street, Clonaslee, Laois

Eilish Maher, Main St., Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died peacefully on the 26th of April 2018 at the Midland’s Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Predeceased by her husband Michael and infant son Thomas. She will be very sadly missed by her loving Sons Seamus, Richard, Michéal, and Paul. Fondly remembered by her grand-children Kevin, Alan, Shane, Laura, Eimear, Connor, and Kate.

Deeply regretted by her daughters-in-law Bernie, Mary and Aisling. Her sisters Maura, Teresa, Sr. Francis, Breda, Her brother Fr. Tom Lalor, P.P. Leighinbridge, Co. Carlow, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends. May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing at the residence of her son Richard and Mary, Derry, Rosenallis, Co. Laois from 4pm on Friday with Rosary at 9pm. Reposing on Saturday from 12 noon with removal at 7.15pm to arrive at St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee for 8pm Mass. House private from 6pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee.

No Flower’s or Mass Cards by request. Donations in lieu to the Friends of St. Vincent’s Hospital Mountmellick care fund. Donation boxes will be available in the Church.

Liam died surrounded by his loving family, in the loving care of Joan and staff at St.Fiacc’s House Graiguecullen, Carlow ,in his 94th year. Sadly missed by his loving wife Bridie and family Anne Sheridan, Breda Byrne, Fr. John, Colm and Mary Jowett, brother Fr. Noel, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at St. Fiacc’s House from 3pm-9pm on Thursday with Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in St. Brigid’s Church, Ballinakill, Co. Laois. Burial immediately afterwards in St. Brigid’s Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St. Fiacc’s House.

Christina Williams (née Cleary)
Rossmore, Errill, Laois / Ballyfermot, Dublin

Christina (Dinah) Williams (née Cleary), Ballyfermot, Dublin and formerly Rossmore, Errill, Co. Laois. Peacefully at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin. April 23rd 2018. Deeply regretted by her daughter Anne, sons Michael, John and David, grandchildren Daire, Niamh, Rachel, Jack and Edel, great-grandchildren Kendal and Cole, her sisters Betty, Mary and Jane, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her sister Mary Williams’ residence, (Knockiel, Rathdowney) on Thursday evening from 6pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in The Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney.

Family flowers only by request, donations can be made at Dinah’s funeral to the Irish Heart Foundation. House private on Friday morning.

Norah Phelan (née Delaney)
Coldblow, Mountrath, Laois

Norah Phelan (née Delaney), Coldblow, Mountrath, Co. Laois. – Died 24th Apil 2018, in the loving care of matron and staff of Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home Portlaoise, surrounded by her loving family, predeceased by her husband William ( Billy) and her daughter Mary. Sadly missed by her daughter Geraldine Dunne (Rosenallis), sons Kieran (Rathphelan) and John Joe, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Pauline, son-in-law Noel, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Norah Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Wednesday afternoon from 4.0’clock, with Removal at 6.30p.m. to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, arriving at 7.0’clock. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

Michael (Mick) Hughes
Iver Bucks, England and late of Ballylehane Upper, Wolfhill, Laois

Passed away peacefully at his residence on the 9th April. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, daughters Tina and Ash, sons-in-law, grandchildren Sophie, Sam, Gabby, Georga and Charlie, brother Jimmy, sisters Kate and Bridget, nephews, nieces and friends. Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Rigneys Funeral Home, Athy from 7pm on Thursday evening with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.15am to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Wolfhill for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, in lieu, to MND Association and Rennie Grove Hospice. Donations box in Church.

The deaths have occured of Mary Theresa Guidera (née Conroy), and her youngest son Timmy Guidera, late of Clonbarrow, Mountrath, Co. Laois, and Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. Died 15th and 22nd March 2018 (respectively) in England. Deeply regretted by their loving family, relatives, and friends. May They Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath this Tuesday evening from 8pm, with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Clonenagh Cemetery.

Formerly of Morristown Billar, Newbridge. Ex- SSU. Cook Irish Army, The Curragh Camp. Peacefully, at his nieces residence. Sadly missed by his loving partner Jean, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his niece’s residence at Lakeside Park from 3pm on Monday with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10am to arrive at St. Conleth’s Parish Church, Newbridge, for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge.

John (Johnny) Hennessy
Ballynevin, Cullohill, Laois

Peacefully at the Midlands Hospital Portlaoise. Deeply regretted by his cousins (the Phelan family Cullohill), his friends at Sue Ryder Home Ballyroan, his great neighbours and friends in Cullohill. Reposing at Phelan’s Funeral Home Durrow from 5.00pm on Sunday evening with Rosary at 8.00pm. Removal to St Tighearnach’s Church Cullohill on Monday morning for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Burial immediately afterwards in Durrow Cemetery.
