Suspect returns to dump more rubbish at community centre

A man suspected of dumping rubbish at Portarlington Community Centre is believed to have dumped further rubbish there overnight.

Portarlington Community Centre posted their frustration at the latest incident on social media.

“So the person who felt it was their given right to leave rubbish at Portarlington Community Centre over the Bank Holiday weekend struck again last night!” the centre commented.

“He returned with a buggy full of rubbish and left it at our bins again!

“We are still awaiting an update from the council on this matter but it appears we need to bring this individual to court if we are pursue it further!” the post outlined.

Previously, carpet, underlay and plastic items were dumped at the clothes.

It is located beside Portarlington Community Centre.

The previous incident was reported to gardaí and Laois County Council’s Environment section.
