Helen Ryan (neé McGrath), Clonin, Mountrath, Co. Laois, and late of Oxford, died 24th May 2018, after an illness bravely borne at Dún Áine Suite, Mountmellick, surrounded by her loving family, dearly loved wife of Seamus and loving mother of Joseph, Eva, Annabelle and Luke. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband, children, sisters Susie, Siobhán, Tracey and Mary Jo, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends. May Helen Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her home this (Friday) evening from 7.0’clock, with Rosary at 9.0’clock. Removal on (Saturday) afternoon to St, Fergal’s Church Camross, for Requiem Mass at 1.0’clock, followed by Burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Roskeen, Lombardstown, Cork / Portlaoise, Laois / Bunclody, Wexford

Roskeen, Lombardstown, Portlaoise and Kilbranish, Bunclody, Co. Wexford. On May 24, 2018, in the tender loving care of Nuala and staff, Teach Altra, Newmarket, Alice (neé Power) wife of the late James Kelly and Paddy Beere and mother of the late Des, Richard, Cecil and Patricia. Deeply mourned by her loving sons James, Philip and Noel, daughter Eileen, sister Jenny, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends. May she rest in peace.

Reposing at O’Reilly’s Funeral Home, Newmarket on Friday from 1.30pm to 3pm followed by removal to Lennon’s Funeral Home, Bunclody. Reposing from 7pm to 9pm. Reception into St. Mary’s Church, Bunclody on Saturday at 10.30am for Funeral Service at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Cappalinnan, Rathdowney, Laois

Lowry, Cappalinnan, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. May 23rd 2018. Peacefully in the presence of his family following a long illness bravely borne. Edward, predeceased by his father (Paddy). Sadly mourned by his loving wife Deirdre and his family, Padraig, Katie and Bríd, his loving mother Breeda, his sisters Annette, Louise, Patricia and Breeda, brothers-in-law Mícheal, Pat and Andrew, sister-in-law Paula (Corby), aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney on Friday from 4pm with funeral prayers at 7pm followed by removal to the Church Of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney. Family flowers only please, donations can be made at Edward’s funeral to The Bone Marrow For Leukemia Trust.

Sheila Conroy (née Higgins)
Glenlehan, Stradbally Road, Portlaoise, Laois

Sheila Conroy (nee Higgins), Glenlehan, Stradbally Road, Portlaosie, Co. Laois, and late of Brocca and Roundhill, Clonaslee Co. Laois, and late of Lalor’s Mills, Portlaoise Co. Laois. Died on the 23rd of May 2018, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Ballard Lodge Nursing Home, Portlaosie, Co. Laois. Predeceased by her husband Andy, brother Tom, sisters Sr. Daria, Breda and Máire. Sheila was a much loved aunt and grand-aunt, she will be sadly missed by her extended family, relatives and friends.​ May She Rest in Peace.

Her remains will repose at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaosie on Thursday evening with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am in St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee.

Predeceased by his sisters Margaret and Sheila, brothers David, Tobise, Dan, Andrew and Barty. Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, friends and confreres in religion.

Reposing in Miguel House from 11.00am this Thursday with Evening Prayer and Rosary at 8.00pm. Funeral Liturgy and Mass on Friday (May 25th.) at 2.00pm. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Purcell, Grattan St., Portlaoise May 21st 2018 Suddenly at his residence, Edmund. Predeceased by his father Eddie and sister Fiona. Loving son to his heartbroken mother Mary. Dearly loved brother to Colette, David, Declan, Brian and Anne. Deeply regretted by his loving family. Uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home from 6.30 pm on Wednesday evening with rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Thursday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 10 am Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Family flowers only, donations, if desired, to charity.

Peacefully at The Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise on 18th May 2018. Beloved wife of the late William and dear mother of Bernadette, Veronica, Declan and James. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her family. nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home in Vicarstown from 6pm. this Monday evening with Recital of The Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Tuesday to The Church of The Assumption, Vicarstown arriving for 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday in The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally at 11am. Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally.

John O’Brien, Rearymore, Rosenallis, Co. Laois. Died on the 19th of May 2018, Peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore Co. Offally. Dearly loved husband of Liz. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, John, Michael, Carmel, Patrick and Eimear. Loving grandad to Chiara, Emma, Ruth, Nicole, Senan and Arron.

Deeply regretted by his daughters-in-law Joy and Margaret, sons-in -law Patrick and Niall, brothers Seamie, Tony, Mike and Joe, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. His remains will be reposing at the residence of his son Michael and Joy at Rearymore, Rosenallis, from 2pm on Monday with Rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am in St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, followed by burial afterwards in St Manman’s Cemetery Clonaslee.

Sadly missed by her husband John Joe and her much loved daughter Patricia, sister Phyllis, nephews, brothers in law, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at her home from 5pm. this Sunday evening. Removal from her home on Monday evening at approx. 7.15pm to arrive at The Holy Cross Church Rathneskia for 8pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am. Interment to follow in the adjoining Cemetery.
