In Pictures: Supporters pack Navan as Laois campaign ends

The journey has come to an end for this year.

The Laois senior footballers have been knocked out of championship following defeat to Monaghan this afternoon.

John Sugrue’s men were defeated by five points by the Ulster side in Navan this evening.

It brings to an end a season which has seen Laois win Division 4 of the National League and reach their first Leinster final since 2007.

The game will be most remembered for the heroics of keeper Graham Brody who pulled off a stunning total of seven saves over the course of the match.

Indeed, it was through him that Laois were still in the game as we entered injury time but they just ran out of steam.

The Laois fans travelled in great numbers again and a huge amount of them poured out onto the pitch at full time to show their appreciation to the players.
