Laois school planning sleep out to raise funds for the homeless

Portlaoise CBS TYs who will take part in the Sleep Out

St. Mary’s CBS Portlaoise are planning a sleep out this evening in a bid to raise money for the homeless.

The event is being ran by the school’s TY and students council to raise money for Focus Ireland.

Students have have been given sponsorship cards and are raising money which will be given to the chairty.

The event is part of of Focus Irelands Shine A Night Light event which takes place on a yearly basis.

The sleep-out will take place on the Portlaoise CBS school grounds.

Shine A Light Night is a truly touching event where the community comes together for one night and sleep out to raise vital funds for people experiencing homelessness in Ireland today.

St. Marys CBS say they are delighted to hold their own sleep out and to show their support towards the event and to raise as much as they can for homelessness in Ireland.
