The Laois Divisional football competition kicked off last weekend with a double header in the LOETB Centre of Excellence.
Round 2 sees the games being brought to club venues with Mountmellick and Stradbally chosen as hosts this evening.
The first game is between West North West and North East – two sides who suffered defeats last week.
The North East were without their O’Dempsey’s contingent last week but following their defeat to Portlaoise in the SFC final last weekend, it seems likely that some of these players will be available tonight and if so – they may win that game.
East Central and South East both enjoyed Round 1 victories and know that a win here will most likely see them qualify for the cup final in two weeks time.
South East have serious firepower and defeated North East without any Killeshin players as they were away on an end of season trip.
The return of these lads may well see them record a second win over an East Central side that was very impressive in its own right.
Entry at both venues is €2 and all funds raised goes straight to the Kolbe Special School.
