Assisi House, Navan Road and formerly of Mountmellick, Co Laois. Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Assisi House. Sadly missed by her loving niece Phil, Sisters in Religion, extended family, relatives and friends.

Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 11.15am  in Assisi House Chapel. Funeral thereafter to Dardistown Cemetery.

Maura Taylor (née Dunne)
Ballyfin Rd., Portlaoise, Laois

Taylor (nee Dunne) Ballyfin Rd., Portlaoise. November 7th 2018. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Maura. Dearly loved mother to John and Frank. Cherished grandmother to Alison, Cian, Séan-Luke and the late Claire. Deeply regretted by her loving brother Larry, sisters-in-law Frances and Maureen, her late husband Bobby, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her son Johns residence at Pallas Big from 5pm on this Wednesday evening with rosary at 9 pm. Removal on Thursday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 10 am Requiem Mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Peacefully, in the loving care of St. Mary’s Hospital, Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Rathmoyle, Abbeyleix, Laois. Deeply regretted by her loving family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at St. Mary’s Hospital Oratory, Castleblaney, on Wednesday 7th November from 12 noon until 6pm. Reposing in the Chapel of Adoration adjoining The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois on Thursday 8th November from 6pm with recital of the Rosary at 9pm. Removal to The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, on Friday morning for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

66 Marian Ave, Portlaoise, Laois

Died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of Marie and adored father to Suzanne, Kevin, Robert, Sandra, Paul and Kenneth. brother to Betty, Patty and Frank. Predeceased by his brothers Denis and Brendan. Deeply regretted by his sons and daughters-in-law and his beloved grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews, extended family relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home Tuesday, 6th November, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm followed by the rosary. Leaving his home on Wednesday at 1:15pm to arrive at SS Peter & Paul’s Church for 2:00pm Requiem Mass followed immediately by burial at SS Peter & Paul’s Cemetery. House private on Wednesday morning please. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Palliative Care Services Laois/Offaly.

Joachim Petrus Nel, O’Moore Street, Mountmellick (formerly of South Africa). Survived by his wife Fredrika Nel, daughters Kerry-Ann Van der Merue and Maritza Smit, son Gerhard Nel, sons-in-law Coenraad Van der Merue and Gerhard Smit, daughter-in-law Nicky Nel, grandchildren, brother, sister, relatives and friends.

Beloved husband of Margaret and pre-deceased by his son Michael. Much loved father of Mary, Martin, Donie, Margaret, Patrick, Gregory and Sheldon. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home this Monday evening from 7:00pm with rosary recital at 9:00pm. Removal to SS Peter & Paul’s Church on Tuesday at 5:15pm to arrive for 6:00pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 10:00am with interment afterwards in SS Peter & Paul’s Cemetery

O’Reilly, “Marian House”, Dublin Rd, Portlaoise, Nov 5th 2018, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. (Ex fruit merchant) William (Bill), beloved husband of Maura and dearly loved dad to Fiona (McCann), Miriam O’Reilly, Melissa Bourke, William and Peter. Cherished grandfather to Donnacha, Muireann, Clodiagh, Fiadh, Coyle and Roan, great-grandchild Kyra-May. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers Martin and Jas and sister Eileen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans funeral home from 5 pm on Tuesday with rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Wednesday to SS Peter and Paul’s Church to arrive for 12 noon requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Mary Kennedy (née Skehan)
Barnderry, Attanagh, Laois

Peacefully at her residence. Wife of the late John and mother of the late Donal. Deeply regretted by her loving children, Rita, Mary, Chris, Eileen and Sean, brother Fr John, sister-in-law, sons in law George and John, grandchildren Helen, Raymond, Laura, Ciara & Niall, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence from 12.00 noon on Sunday with Rosary at 8.00pm. Removal on Monday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill, for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Monday morning please.

Joe Conroy, formally of Clonboyne, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died 17th October 2018 in Canada (unexpectedly) sadly missed by his wife Ann, daughters Catherine and Aurea, son-in-law Frank, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass on Monday 5th November 2018 in St. Fintan’s Church Raheen at 12 noon, followed by Burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Rafter, Cuan Bhrìde, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Clonmeen, Rathdowney. November 2nd 2018, peacefully in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Patterson’s nursing home Roscrea. Sheila; sadly mourned by her by her sister Irene (Delaney), her brother Jim Rafter, sister-in-law Joan, nephews, niece, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O’ Sullivan’s Funeral Home today Saturday from 4pm with funeral prayers at 6.30pm followed by removal at 7pm to The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1pm followed by burial in Rathdowney Local Cemetery.

John (Jack) Scully
Tolerton, Ballickmoyler, Carlow / Ballickmoyler, Laois

Jack Scully died suddenly at his home. Beloved husband of the late Dolly and father-in-law of the late Brigid. Sadly missed by his son Patrick, grandchildren Keeva and Dylan, brothers Tom, Michael and Oliver, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Carlow from 4pm on Saturday concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Sunday afternoon to the Holy Cross Church, Killeshin to arrive for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
