Peacefully in the loving care of his family and the staff of Droimnin Nursing Home Stradbally. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, son Justin, daughter Clare, their parteners Annemarieke, and Bosco, grandchildren Stephanie and Gavin, his brothers Dinny, Vincent, and Tony,sisters, Kathleen and Angela, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends. Reposing at his residence from 2pm this Saturday, 17th November 2018, with removal at 6.30.pm. to The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix arriving 7 pm. Requiem Mass at 11am. on Sunday with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

“Grange Lodge”, Maganey, Laois / Birr, Offaly / Carlow / Maganey, Kildare

Thomas Colbourne, originally Cree, Birr, Co. Offaly died November 15th 2018 at Tallaght University Hospital after a long illness courageously borne. Beloved husband of Hazel and much loved dad of Stephen and Andrew. Sadly missed by his devastated wife, sons, parents Raymond and Hilda, brothers Leslie, Desmond, David and Alan, sister Valerie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral arriving at St. James’ Church, Castledermot on Sunday evening (Nov 18th) at 6pm. Funeral Service on Monday at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium for Cremation Service at 2pm.

No flowers please, donation in lieu to The Irish Cancer Society.

Fr. Pat Cooke, Crannagh, Mountrath, Co. Laois and formerly Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. Nov. 15. 2018. (peacefully) in the care of the Brothers and Staff of Miguel House, Castletown and in the presence of his brothers Joe and Walter. Deeply regretted by his relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Miguel House Chapel this Friday evening (Nov. 16th) from 5 o’c with rosary at 7 o’c and reposing on Saturday evening from 5 o’c with removal at 7 o’c to St. Edmund’s Parish Church, Castletown. Mass of the Resurrection on Sunday (Nov. 18th) at 1.00 pm, with burial immediately afterwards in Aghaboe cemetery.

Annetta (Netta) O’Brien (née Phelan)
Baldwinstown, Bridgetown, Wexford / Rathdowney, Laois

Peacefully, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Tom and cherished mother of Noelle, Bernadette, Deirdre, Kieran and Tomas. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons, daughters-in-law Maria & Trina, sons-in-law Tony & Michael, Donal, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sisters-in-law Sheila & Rose, brother-in-law Charlie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home in Baldwinstown on Friday November 16th from 1pm with removal at 6.30pm to arrive at the Church of the Assumption, Rathangan for 7pm Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in Rathangan Cemetery.

Late of London and Kellyville, Ballyadams, Co. Laois. Deeply regretted by her sister Sheila, brothers Fr. Adrian and Seamus, sister-in-law Miriam and niece Grace.

Reposing at the Chapel in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athy between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday evening. Removal from Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy at 1.30pm on Friday afternoon to arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Ballyadams for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in Ballintubbert Cemetery.

Celsus McGovern 
Conoboro Road, Rathdowney, Laois / Ballinamore, Leitrim

McGovern, Clover Hill, Conoboro Road, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. November 12th 2018, peacefully in the presence of his family and in the tender care of his friends at The Lakes Nursing Home, Killaloe. Celsus in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Pauline (nèe Quigley). Treasured father to Declan, Danny, Celsus, Loughlin and Alicia. Loving brother of Seddie (Ballinamore) and Mary Collins (Ballinteer), father-in-law to Angela, Imelda, Ann and Joe, cherished grandad to Jack, Aoife, Siùn, Sophie, Harry, Charlie and Freddie, sadly mourned by his sisters-in-law Mary O’ Callaghan and Josie McGovern, nieces, nephews, our great neighbours and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at his home (Clover Hill) on Wednesday evening from 5pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney. House private on Thursday morning.
