A recent fundraiser for PATH (Portlaoise Action To Homelessness) saw crowds take to the streets of Abbeyleix to raise vital funds for the charity.
‘Walk A Mile’ for PATH began on Sunday, November 25 and saw people from all over the county turn out to support the organisation.
Proceedings began at 12 noon as walkers took off from the Heritage House in Abbeyleix.
They returned to the Heritage House for refreshments after their thirsty work.
Cash donations were received on the day as well as Christmas Goodie Bags.
These contains items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, hoodies, hats, blankets, crisps, chocolate bars, scarves and gloves.
PATH is a group set up to feed those that are sleeping rough both inside and outside of Laois. This fundraiser was set up by Ego Boost Hair Salon, Abbeyleix.
PATH relies greatly on the kindness and generosity of its volunteers and those who contribute in any way, shape or form.
Our photographer Julieanne Miller went along to capture all the action on the day.
