There was a local darby where Mountrath CS see off Heywood to reach South-Leinster final.

Laois Rugby 

Great news for local rugby as Two Laois rugby stars named on Ireland Women’s Six Nations squad.

Portlaoise Panthers

They played a blinder at the weekend’s National Cup and as a result, Powerful Panthers U20 women push through to National Cup final, well deserved.

Sigerson Cup 

There was plenty of Laois clubs represented in the opening round of the Sigerson Cup during the week as there was Victory for Flanagan’s University of Limerick as Sigerson Cup gets underway and O’Carroll on fire as reigning champions UCD making winning Sigerson start.

BAD WEEK FOR…

House buyers

Laois house prices expected to rise by six percent in 2019, not the most hopeful news to receive.

Portlaoise Panthers

Despite a win for the U20 girls at the National Cup, a Star-studded Belfast too strong for brave Portlaoise Panthers U-18 Men, a Scarbrough inspired Elks end Portlaoise Panthers Women’s Cup journey and Second quarter costs Panthers U-20s as National Cup dream ends.
