M50 crash to disrupt Laois fans on route to Croke Park

Laois football fans heading to Croke Park today are being advised to take an alternative route as a crash on the M50 is causing heavy delays.

The crash occurred on the M50 northbound between J7 Lucan and J6 Blanchardstown.

AA roadwatch have said that emergency services have dealt with the collision but there are still heavy delays on the route.

“Emergency services have dealt with a collision on the M50 northbound between J7 Lucan and J6 Blanchardstown.

“However, there are still heavy northbound delays from before J9 Red Cow to J7 Lucan as a result.”

One Laois fan who got in touch described the tailbacks as ‘seeming to go on for miles’.

He also advised fellow Laois football supporters to take the route through the city rather than via the M50.

We will keep this updated for further traffic news.
