JOB VACANCY: Portlaoise business looking to hire bookkeeper

A Portlaoise business is looking to fill the following role:

Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant in Portlaoise – Part Time/Flexible Hours

We are recruiting for a part time bookkeeper/administration assistant to work in a local family business.

Working hours are approx 16 hours per week and can be flexible around other commitments/school runs etc.

The role will include:

Book-keeping

  • Posting of purchase invoices and bank transactions
  • Reconciliation of daily cash drops
  • Reconciling of credit card transactions
  • Managing petty cash
  • Reviewing purchase prices for fluctuations
  • Assisting with Payroll
  • Populate weekly summary reports

Administration

  • Checking that daily/weekly operational/production checklists are being completed by the relevant staff and file them correctly
  • Liaising with HR Consultant around new contracts/contract adjustments for employees
  • Managing job applications & arranging interviews when recruiting
  • Other general administration duties as required

Experience:

  • Min. 2 years experience in previous accounts/bookkeeping role
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong numerical and IT Skills (Microsoft Office, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
