In Pictures: Serious style as O’Moore’s celebrate camogie championship success

Serious style on show here.

O’Moore’s Camogie club won just their second ever Laois camogie championship last year and they celebrated in style on Friday night.

The Killeshin Hotel in Portlaoise was all glamour as the victorious team celebrated with their supporters and families at their Dinner Dance.

O’Moore’s were crowned Laois camogie champions for just the second time in their history as they dethroned the reigning champions Camross in O’Moore Park back in September.

Dermot McGill’s side battled back from a slow start and had a real gem on their side in the form of Mary Keating.

She fired over 1-7 and was incredible from start to finish as O’Moore’s won by two points in the end – 1-10 to 0-11.

Her goal with less than five minutes to play looked to have guaranteed victory for O’Moore’s but Camross kept battling and came back to within one point as we entered injury time – however they fell short.

Our photographer Julie Anne Miller was there on the night of the Dinner Dance and she captured some great images.
