LIVE BLOG: Follow all the action as Laois minor footballers face Carlow in Leinster opener

The Laois minor footballers begin their Leinster championship campaign this evening in IT Carlow against Carlow.

This is the first of three group games and if Laois can win them all and top their group, they will go straight through to the semi final.

Manager Phelan named his starting team on Monday but one change has been made to that.

Centre back Eamonn Delaney is out with injury and his place on the team goes to Park-Ratheniska’s Simon Fingleton.

He comes in at corner back with Nathan Little switching across to full back and captain Sean Greene is now centre back.

The starting team includes six players who were involved with the team last year which reached the minor semi final where they lost to eventual champions Meath.

Captain Sean Greene, Jamie Kelly, Conor Goode, Paul O’Flynn, Ciaran Burke and Brian Whelan were all on the panel last year and saw game time.

The game takes place at 7.30pm in IT Carlow on Tuesday night.
