In Pictures: Ballylinan NS scrub up on their medical knowledge for Emergency Medicine Day

Monday May 27 saw the pupils of Ballylinan NS scrub up on their medical knowledge for Emergency Medicine Day.

Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, along with with the National Ambulance Service and Civil Defence Ireland went out to Ballylinan NS to teach pupils the importance of emergency medicine.

Children had the opportunity to learn about minor injuries, head and spinal injuries, Asthma, and how an ambulance operates.

While also teaching the pupils, it allowed them to understand what happens during an emergency and helped them learn not to be afraid when one happens by easing them into the situation.

Thanks a million to Claire Julian for sending in these great photos below.
