Laois school officially opens new multi use games area

A Laois school officially opened a brand new multi use games area recently.

Mayo National School officially opening their newest addition on Thursday June 13.

The multi use games area was delivered via funding by Clar Funding Rural Development.

A lot of work went into this project by a number of people to get it over the line.

The school would like to Bernie Patterson (School Treasurer), Ann Marie Maher (Laois County Council), Padraig Fleming (Councillor), Liam Lalor (Class Teacher and grant coordinator), Clare McCarthy (School Principal) and Nicola Rowan (Secretary and grant coordinator).

They would also like to thank all their pupils and the Parent’s Association.

A Multi Use Games Area is usually for various types of sports games, such as football, basketball or tennis.
