Brought to you in association with Expert Laois

The Electric Picnic is just TWO sleeps away and we can barely contain our excitement as 57,000 music enthusiasts get ready to descend upon Stradbally.

But yesterday, two of LaoisToday’s finest, Alan and Julie, got an exclusive first look at the site for this year.

Travelling in golf buggys, they were whisked around Stradbally Hall and got see some of the new features in store for punters this year.

It began with a view of the brand new water refilling areas which will be dotted all around the site in a bid to cut down on plastic.

Hazel Wood, Freetown, Trailor Park and the new AIB tent were next on the agenda.

Up and coming singer Aimee provided entertainment on the main stage before festival guru Melvin Benn greeted the media.

The day concluded with a trip to the Tesco food banquet where they were treated to a three course meal by chef Derry Clarke.

The lads documented their day on Snapchat and Instagram but if you missed them, we’ve put together a video to show how it went.

Check out how they got on below.
