Rathdowney-Errill’s Leinster hurling semi final set to be shown on TV

This is great news.

Rathdowney-Errill’s Leinster senior hurling clash with St Mullins is set to be shown live on TV.

TG4 have confirmed that they will show the Leinster semi final clash live from Netwatch Cullen Park at 1.30pm.

In a statement released this evening, TG4 said: “History beckons for both teams in a novel Leinster Hurling Semi Final between St. Mullins (Carlow) and Rathdowney Errill (Laois).

“St Mullins pulled off the shock of the year so far in defeating Dublin champions and All Ireland favourites Cuala in the last round.

”They will need a similar performance again, as Rathdowney Erill were outstanding in swatting St. Rynaghs aside, and they will feel they have a great chance of reaching a Leinster Final for the first time.

“Micheál Ó Domhnaill will be presenting, with analysis from Michael Rice and Diarmuid Lyng.”

This is great news for Laois hurling fans who can’t get to the game this Sunday.

And it comes on the same day that we revealed that Portlaoise’s Leinster semi final with Eire Og will also be shown live – on RTE on Saturday week.
