Peacefully at her residence. Loving wife of the late Jack and dear mother of the late Joe. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Terry and David, daughters Nuala and Mary, brother Michael, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing at her residence (eircode R32 A6C9) on Sunday from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday at 11am arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.

Jack Hyland
Cavansheath, Mountrath, Laois

Jack Hyland, Cavansheath, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Unexpectedly, on November 22nd 2019, aged 2 years. Beloved and cherished son of John and Michelle (neé Dooley), adored brother to Aaron and much loved grandson of Mick and Janette (Dooley), Sheamie and Catherine (Hyland). Sadly missed by his hearthbroken parents, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, relatives and friends.

“Now in the arms of the Angels”

Reposing at his home (eircode R32X866) on Sunday evening from 4pm, with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, for Mass of the Angels at 11.0’clock, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

Joseph (Joe) Whelan
Kimmage, Dublin / Portlaoise, Laois

Whelan, Joseph (Joe), 22nd November, 2019. (late of Blarney Park, Kimmage and formerly of Portlaoise). Beloved partner of Kathleen and loving brother of Anthony and Geraldine. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and also by his sister-in-law Rosemary and brother-in-law Donal, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at the Marymount Care Centre (Westmanstown, Lucan) on Monday from 4pm until 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to St. Peter and Paul’s Church (Portlaoise) arriving for 10am Funeral Mass followed by burial in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery (Stradbally Road, Portlaoise).

Sunnyside, Rathvilly, Carlow / Timahoe, Laois

Ann Byrne, Moneycross, Timahoe and formerly of Sunnyside, Rathvilly, Co. Carlow – 21st November 2019 peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Portlaoise Hospital; Sadly missed by her loving brothers Laurence, Henry, Mick, Shem and Joe, sisters Una and Marian, sisters-in-law Wendy, Anne, Brenda, Marie-ines and Margaret, brothers-in-law Keith and Niall, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews, the community and carers at Moneycross, friends Gay and Rosie, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Sunday, 24th November, from 5pm. with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am. to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly for 11am. Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in Rathvilly Cemetery.

The family wish to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and staff of St. James’ Hospital, Dublin and Portlaoise Hospital for the care and attention shown to Ann during her illness.

Gerald Bowden
Garroonagh, Barrowhouse, Laois / Athy, Kildare

Gerald Bowden, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athy. He will be sadly, missed by his wife Maureen, sons Gerry and PJ, daughters Denise and Ethel, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at St Vincent’s Hospital Chapel on Sunday 24th from 6.30pm with recital of Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning by Thompson Funeral Directors to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Barrowhouse for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
