Talking Sport: A Laois man in Longford, lifting the lockdown and no supporters at matches

Will Laois be lifted out of lockdown? Will GAA matches be allowed to resume on Monday?

The truth is, we don’t know – but we certainly hope so.

We’re back with our latest Talking Sport Podcast but as with everything in life now, there has to be a little bit of Coronavirus talk too.

Laois is due to exit the localised lockdown on Sunday night and the lads are certainly hoping it is the case.

Steven Miller is in the presenters chair once again this week and he is joined by Alan Hartnett and Graiguecullen’s Alan Malone.

A brand new guest on the show, Malone is a strength and conditioning coach with the Longford footballers and also works full time with the Camogie Association.

Will the Laois-Offaly-Kildare lockdown be lifted? Is it right for supporters to be kept away from the games?

What are the Government trying to tell us and what is it like in Graiguecullen, a village whose local town Carlow is right on their doorstep and not under partial lockdown at the moment?

The lads consider all of these things and also take a hopeful look forward to the football matches which are to take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
