Mountmellick GAA to hold drive-in bingo this Sunday, September 20

With so many restriction on what is and isn’t allowed, Drive-In Bingo has become popular as an ideal fundraising venture for GAA clubs and community groups around the country.

And Mountmellick GAA are the latest ones to get in on the act as they will hold a Drive-In Bingo event at their club grounds in Acragar this Sunday, September 20.

There is up to €2,000 in prize money and it promises to be a really good evening’s entertainment, beginning at 5pm.

There are just a couple of simple ground rules:

  • Please remain in your car for the duration of the event unless there is an emergency.
  • Please follow the direction of the stewards
  • Be safe, bring a mask if you decide to leave your car.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available and please use if you leave your car

“The restrictions imposed during the COVID pandemic have affected everyone and the GAA is no exception.

“Mountmellick GAA have been able to continue providing hurling and football for 5 year olds to adults during this challenging period.

“We are thankful to all our volunteers and parents who have made it possible to continue with our games while implementing all COVID-19 protocols. During this period we have had to cancel our club lotto which is our main regular funding stream.”
