Br. Eugene (Jackie) Brennan, De La Salle Brothers, Miguel House, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and formerly of Portlaoise and Clones, Co. Monaghan. Oct. 18, 2020. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers. Greatly missed by his sister Mary, brothers Thomas and Fintan, sister in law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, friends, the staff of Miguel House and especially his confreres in religion.

A private family Funeral Mass will take place this Monday afternoon (Oct. 19th.) at 2 o’c in the Monastery Chapel with burial immediately afterwards in the community cemetery, Castletown.

Due to Covid 19 directives, only 25 people can enter the church. Those who wish to leave a personal message for the family, can do so in the section below marked ‘Condolences’. Br. Eugene’s family and the De La Salle Brothers would like to thank you for your co-operation, understanding and support at this difficult time.

King John, Morette, Emo, Co. Laois and late of Kinneagh, The Curragh, Co. Kildare, 17th October 2020. Peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving partner Alice, daughters Alison, Mary and Carmel, sons Thomas, Johnny, Patrick, Paul and Denis, brother Joe, sister Dora, sons in law, daughters in law, sister in law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Given the current exceptional circumstances and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew him, a private funeral, with immediate family only, will take place at 2pm on Tuesday in St Paul’s Church, Emo. Burial will follow afterwards.

The family thank you for your cooperation, understanding and support during this sensitive time.

Stanley, Banogue, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, October 17th 2020. Herbert William, in the tender care of the Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick. Sadly mourned by his wife Valerie and his daughters Ruth and Louise, sons in law Jonathan and Simon, grandchildren Debbie, Sarah, Emma, Simon, Jennifer and Stephen, his brothers Jimmy and Arthur, his sister Margaret, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

As per COVID-19 Directive the funeral is restricted to family and close relatives only. Funeral service on Monday at 2pm in St. Andrew’s Church, Rathdowney followed by burial in Killermogh. House strictly private. You can express your condolence on the condolence page below.

Mount Stewart, Portlaoise and formerly Adamstown and St John’s Drive, Wexford Peacefully in Clover Lodge Nursing Home, Athy surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Margaret and loving father of Gina and Tracy, brother of Val and the late Michael. Sadly missed by his wife, daughters, brother, granddaughters Ciara and Simone, sons-in-law Ian and Simon, sisters-in-law Alice, Georgina and Pauline, brother-in-law Malcom, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, relatives and friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, a private family funeral will take place on Monday 19th October. Funeral Mass may be viewed on www.wexfordparish.com ‘church webcams’ Rowe Street Church at 12.00 noon.

Henry Kenneth (Harry) Fairbrother, Coolrain, Portlaoise, Co.Laois. Died 14th October 2020, (peacefully) at home. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Laura and children, Ann, Mervyn, Roy and Keith, daughters-in-law Dorothy, Muriel and Sophie, grandchildren Andrew, Adam, Wendy, Dean, Zoe, Ruby and Ryan, a large circle of friends and neighbours.

In accordance with current government guidelines, a private Funeral Service for family and friends will take place on Friday afternoon at 2.0’clock in St. Jude’s Church, Annatrim, followed by Burial in the adjoining Churchyard.

Dalton. John (Jnr), Cremorgan Timahoe, Co. Laois. October 15th 2020. Peacefully after a short illness. Predeceased by his sister Martina. Deeply regretted by his loving parents. Johnny and Catherine, brothers Michael, Pat, David and Raymond, sisters Ann-Marie,Teresa, Amanda, Imelda and Nicola, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, large extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Given the current exceptional circumstances and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew him, a private funeral, with immediate family only, will take place at 2pm on Friday in St Michael’s Church, Timahoe. Burial will follow afterwards.
