Rory Buchanan
Farigreen, Portlaoise, Laois

Buchanan, Rory – February 5th 2020 – Portlaoise, and formerly of Clare/Limerick and Dublin (gone too soon). Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Rory, beloved husband of Mandie and dearly loved father to Kyle, Ashlee, Emili, Charlie and Ruairí Óg. He was the loving son of Rita and the recently deceased James. Deeply regretted by his loving family, much loved brother of Cathal, Niamh and Eoin. Rory will be sadly missed and forever loved by his family, his sisters-in-law Melissa, Kelly D, Kelly C, Sinead, Serenna, brother-in-laws Niall, Jon-jo, nephews and nieces Katelyn, Holly, Kyra, Lucy, Aoibhín, Sean, Sophie, Natalie, extended family and friends.

Due to current government advice regarding public gatherings, a private family funeral will take place, for family only, in St Peter and Paul’s Church on Monday at 12 noon. The Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam: https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ Cremation will follow in Newlands Cross Crematorium.

William Mervyn Harvey
Cromogue, Mountrath, Laois

William Mervyn Harvey, Cromogue, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 5th February 2021, (peacefully), at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his brothers Joe, Arthur and Robert, sadly missed by his loving wife Betty, sister Louisa, brother-in-law Frank, sisters-in-law Betty and Lily, nieces, nephews, best friend Patsy, neighbours and friends.

A private Funeral Service on Sunday (7th February) at 2.0’clock in Roskelton Church, followed by Burial in he adjoining Churchyard. Neighbours and friends are welcome to stand along the route to the church and churchyard with Strict Social Distancing being observed.

Chapel St, Durrow, Laois

Peacefully at Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Beloved husband of Nancy. Predeceased by his daughter Eilish, brother Jim and sister Joan; sadly missed by his loving wife, daughter Fiona, son Lorcan, brother Martin, sister Maura, daughter-in-law Jackie, son-in-law Martin, brother-in-law Nicky, grandchildren Anna, Maria, Orla, Tony and Aishling, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Based risk of infection, you are asked not to congregate in the churchyard or at the cemetery, in the interest of public safety and in compliance with the current guidelines. The family thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.

Presentation Sisters, Kilcock, Kildare / Mountrath, Laois

Ramsbottom Sr. Regina (Elizabeth Anne) , Presentation Sisters, Kilcock, Co. Kildare and formally of Killaney, Mountrath, Co. Laois, Februaury 4th 2021 peacefully in the tender care of the Sisters and staff, Shalom Nursing Home, Kilcock, Co. Klidare. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Elizabeth, her brother John, her sisters Margret, Mary, Nora (Sr. Paul) Josephine (Sr. Laurence) and Frances. Deeply regretted by her nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, Presentation Community, extended family and friends.

In line with Government and HSE advice regarding public gatherings, a small private funeral will be held. The Funeral Mass may be followed on www.kilcockandnewtownparish.ie at 12.00 noon on Saturday, 6th February 2021.

Tourtane, Clogh, Castlecomer, Kilkenny / Ballinakill, Laois

Joe Donoghue Tourtane, Clogh, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny & formerly of Knockbawn, Spink, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.

At St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his loving family. Joe will be sadly missed by his partner Catherine, daughters Sharon, Philomena, Ann-Marie, Sarah, Emma, Megan, sons Patrick, David, and Joseph, and the Mother of his children Ann, brothers and sisters, grandchildren, great grand-daughter, nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

MAY JOE REST IN PEACE

In accordance with current Government/HSE guidelines and in the interest of public health and the safety of our most vulnerable, a private family funeral will take place for Joe, with Requiem Mass on Saturday (6th Feb.) at 2.30pm in Saint Patrick’s Church, Clogh (max. 10 people in Church). Requiem Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam https://cloghparish.ie/

There will be an opportunity for the community to remember Joe by being present, socially distanced, on Saturday afternoon en route from Chatsworth to the church.
