Anne Mitchell (née Doyle)
The Numbers, Graiguecullen, Carlow / St Johnston, Donegal / Graiguecullen, Laois

Late of St. Johnston, Co. Donegal.

Peacefully at her home, beloved daughter of the late George; Anne will be sadly missed by her loving mother Nuala, brother Vincent, husband Danny, children Mykeala, Gemma, Steven and Laura, sons-in-law David and Pajo, grandchildren Naomi, Skyla, Cody, Brianna, Calum, Brooke and Harlee Mae, great-granddaughter Darcie, niece Roisin, nephew Rory, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Due to Government advice regarding public gatherings, a private funeral for family and close friends will take place on Monday, 30th August, at 11am in St. Baithin’s Church, St. Johnston, Co. Donegal (max. 50 people in church), followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Conor Dalton
Coill Bheag, Dysart, Stradbally, Laois / Dunboyne, Meath

Conor formerly Millview, House, Dunboyne, Co. Meath passed away peacefully in the excellent care of the staff in the Oncology ward in the Beacon Hospital, Dublin, in the company of his loving wife Liz and family. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Liz, his parents James and Mary, his brothers Niall, Garret, Lorcan, Pat and sister Barbara, also his father and mother in law Padraig and Mary Culliton, brothers in law PJ and Eoin, sisters in law Gaby, Liz, Catherine, Rhona and Sheena, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions a private family funeral will take place.

Removal from his residence on Tuesday morning at 11.15 to arrive at Saint Michael’s Church Timahoe for 12 noon Requiem Mass, followed by interment in Saint Michael’s Cemetery. House private Tuesday morning please. Sympathisers are welcome to stand along the route to the church and in the precincts of the cemetery grounds. Social distancing to be observed at all times please. The family would like to thank you for your co-operation, understanding and support during this sensitive and difficult time.

James (Jimmy) Gallagher
Cloonagh, Mountmellick, Laois / Walsh Island, Offaly

Formerly of Church View, Walsh Island County Offaly. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his loving parents Ned and Annie. Deeply regretted by his loving daughter Joanna, son James, son-in-law Ronan, daughter-in-law Julie, grandchildren Aoife, Aisling, Aoibheann, Noah and Willow, sisters Liz, Maggie, Annie and Mary, brothers Martin, Joe, Billy, Pat, Eddie and Roderick, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions A Family Funeral will take place. Removal on Monday (travelling via Garrymona Cross) arriving Church of the Immaculate Conception Walsh Island for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. People are welcome to stand along the route to the Church, in the Churchyard and in the Cemetery with Strict Social Distancing being observed at all times.

The family would like to thank all the staff in Portlaoise Hospital especially those who looked after daddy so well during his final days.

Also a thank you to the Cardiothoracic team in St James Hospital Dublin who looked after daddy during his illness.

Mary Lynch (née Fitzpatrick)
Trumera, Mountrath, Laois

Mary Lynch (neé Fitzpatrick) Woodside, New York and formerly of Trumera, Mountrath passed away peacefully on Sunday 8th August in the loving care of her husband Eddie. Pre-deceased by her parents Laurence and Catherine Fitzpatrick, her infant brother Laurence and her nephew Lorcan. Deeply regretted by her loving husband and best friend Eddie, her brothers and sisters Rita ( New York), Nonie, Lily, Joe, Peg, Michael, Bridie ( Australia) and John, nieces, nephews, cousins and her close friends in Woodside.

Mary’s funeral Mass took place at San Sebastian R. C. Church on Friday 13th August and she was laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, New York. A memorial Mass will take place on Sunday 5th September in St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath at 2pm. This mass can be viewed on www.mountrathparish.ie
