Br Martin (Walter) Kearns, De La Salle Brothers, Castletown,Portlaoise, Co. Laois and late of Glanaulin, 141 Glen Road, Belfast. Predeceased by his parents, brother, sisters. Sadly missed by his brother in law, nieces,nephew, grand nephews, grand nieces, past pupils, staff and confreres in religion, relatives and friends.

Ardenteggle, Killeshin, Carlow/Killeshin, Laois/Paulstown, Kilkenny

Pat Kennedy of Ardenteggle, Killeshin, Co Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on October 23rd, 2021, in the loving care of the staff of Hillview Nursing Home, Carlow.

Beloved husband of the late Agnes, much loved father of Breda (McHugh), Brendan and the late P.J, adored grandfather of Róisín, Darragh, P.J and Gary and cherished brother of Nancy, Kathleen and the late Sean and Breda.

He will be sadly missed by his loving son, daughter, grandchildren, son-in-law James, daughter-in-law Audrey, sisters, sister-in-law Honor, brother-in-law John, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his daughter Breda’s home, Paulstown, Co Kilkenny (Eircode R95 YA48) from 2pm until 8pm on Sunday and Monday with Prayers at 7pm on Sunday

Removal from there on Tuesday at 11am, to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, via his residence, (Ardenteggle, Killeshin), arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon.

Burial afterwards in Killeshin Cemetery, Carlow.

Brigid Dempsey (née McDonald)
Jamestown, Ballybrittas, Laois / Drumcondra, Dublin

Formerly of the Big Tree, Drumcondra, Dublin. Peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, children Oliver, Lisa and Martin, sister Agnes, grandchildren Aidan, Jack, Emily and Sofia, in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, her devoted carers, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington, on Monday from 6pm with rosary at 8pm (please wear face coverings and adhere to social distancing guidelines). Removal on Tuesday at 11:15am (travelling via Ballybrittas) arriving Sacred Heart Church, Rath, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St John’s Cemetery Killenard (travelling via her residence). The family would like to thank you for your help and understanding at this sad and difficult time.

Peacefully, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Abbeyleix Community Nursing Unit. Beloved husband of Bridget. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, brothers Brendan & Ben, sister Sally, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Phelan’s Funeral Home, Durrow, on Monday afternoon from 3.00 to 6.00 pm with rosary at 5.45pm. Removal to Holy Trinity Church, Durrow, on Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Pat (Paddy) Fitzpatrick
Bloom’s House, Ballyhuppahan, Rosenallis

Fitzpatrick, Pat (Paddy), Bloom’s House, Ballyhuppahaun, Rosenallis. Formerly of Laois County Council, Mountmellick Development Association and The Knights Showband. Pat passed away peacefully under the tender care of the Palliative Team at Portloaise Regional Hospital and previously by Kilminchy Nursing Home. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Maureen, daughter Laura, son Bryan, daughter in law Suzanne, granddaughters Zoe and Eva, mother in law Phyllis Creaton, brothers in law, sisters in law, extended family, neighboursand many friends.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 2pm in St. Brigid’s Church Rosenallis. Burial after in St Brigid’s Cemetery. If attending please follow all Covid19 protocols and observe social distancing. Ivan Metcalfe

Metcalfe, (Lucan Co Dublin and Mountmellick Co Laois) October 22nd, 2021 (unexpectedly) in the excellent care of the Staff of The Beacon Hospital, Ivan loving husband and best friend of Carmel (nee O’Keeffe) and devoted Dad of Evan.

Deeply and deservingly regretted by his wife, son, brothers Ken (Mountmellick) and Sandy (Dublin), nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, neighbours, former work colleagues and a wide circle of friends.

Passed away on the 22nd of October 2021, peacefully at the Regional Hospital Tullamore.

Predeceased by his mother Evelyn.

Deeply regretted by his father John, sisters Mary, Triona and Aideen, brothers Shane and Cathal, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his many friends.

Willie (Jnr), beloved husband of Kathleen and dearly loved father to Tara, Katie, Nicole, Shannon, Dylan, Aaron and Shane. Loving son to Betty. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his home. Rosary at 8pm on Sunday evening. Removal on Monday, to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 2 pm requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery. Mass will be streamed live on http://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/web-cam/.

Anthony (Ronnie) O’Reilly
Mullaghanard, Rosenallis, Laois/Mountmellick, Laois

Ronnie died peacefully at the Regional Hospital Tullamore. Retired Staff Irish Prison Service. Predeceased by his wife Moira and brothers Andrew and Eugene. Deeply regretted by his wife Nancy and his sons and daughters Anthony, Sean Michael, Orla, Nora, Ray, Ursula and Fergus, brothers John Joe and Willie, sisters Mary and Ann, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers and sisters in-law, neighbours, relatives and his many friends and former work colleagues.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 4pm, recital of the Rosary at 6pm. Removal on Monday morning at 10:45am to St.Joseph’s Church for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St.Joseph’s Cemetery. Due to government guidelines please wear face coverings and please adhere to social distance.
