Paddy Carter
St. Fintan’s Terrace, Mountrath, Laois

Paddy Carter, St. Fintan’s Terrace, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 27th November 2021, (peacefully) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons Michael, Dominic and Dennis, daughters Philomena and Breda, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, brother Tony, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Sunday evening for family and close friends from 7 o’clock with family Rosary at 8 o’clock. Removal on Monday morning to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath for Requiem Mass at 10 o’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath. Paddy’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed on the www.mountrathparish.ie

Annie Delaney (née Murphy)
Royal Oak Road, Bagenalstown, Carlow/Camross, Laois

The death has occurred of Annie Delaney (née Murphy) (Royal Oak Road, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow) November 26th 2021 (Peacefully) in St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny.

Predeceased by her husband Corrie, she will be sadly missed by her son Martin, daughter Judith (McCormack), daughter-in-law Mary, son-in-law John, grandchildren Cian, Gráinne, Brian, Lauren and Emily, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Annie’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Funeral Mass for Annie will be celebrated on Monday at 11am in St. Andrew’s Church, Bagenalstown, followed by burial immediately afterwards in the Cemetery of the Assumption, Bagenalstown.

The family are particularly conscious of the current situation surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic and ask that anyone attending observes all government guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks, handshaking and social distancing both in the Church and at the Cemetery.

Martin Lalor
Erkindale Drive, Durrow, Laois

Peacefully, at Brookhaven Nursing Hom, Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny.

Predeceased by his parents William & Mary, twin brother Tony, brother Patrick (Abbeyleix), sisters Ethel Browne (Ashbourne), Philomena Jacob (Durrow) & Mary Campion (Killarney.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sisters Anne Kealy (Castlecomer) & Margeret Hennessy (Castledermot), nieces, nephews, grandneices, grandnephews, cousins and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Phelan’s Funeral Home, Durrow, Co. Laois on Monday, 29th November 2021, from 2pm with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Tuesday, 30th November 2021, arriving at the Church of the Assumption Ballyouskill, Co. Kilkenny for 11am Requiem Mass. Cremation will take place at Newlands Cross Crematorium at 2pm.

Michael Doyle
Pond Lane, Mountmellick, Laois

We regret to announce the passing of Michael Doyle (ex Bord na Mona) Pond Lane, Mountmellick. Born January 19th 1932. Pre- deceased by his son Danny and wife Frances. Michael ‘Mick’ passed away peacefully at Portlaoise hospital surrounded by his close family. Survived by his sons Brendan and Jim, granddaughter Jane, grandsons Neil, Alan and Mark, daughters in-law Dolores and Patricia, great-grandchildren and extended family.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Saturday from 7pm. Recital of the Rosary at 9pm. Requiem Mass on Monday in St Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick.

Regretted by his wife Olive, daughters Barbara and Suzanne, sons Mark, Keith and Jeffrey, daughters-in-law Sarah, Orla, Catherine, son-in-law Aidan, granddaughters Sadhbh, Faye, Aileen, Aisling, Connie and Hollie, grandsons Sean, Danny, Eoghan and Rory, sister Maureen, brothers Sean, Paul, Lar and PJ, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

Tony de Barra (Barry)
Emer Terrace, Dundalk, Louth / Mountrath, Laois / Dublin

Formerly of Mountrath, died suddenly on the 23rd of November. Formerly a teacher at St. Joseph’s CBS, Fairview. Tony was involved in theatre in both Dublin and Dundalk. He is survived by his seven children and their mother, his grandchildren, his sister, his brother-in-law and his cousins.

Resting in Fanagan’s Funeral Home, Lower Kimmage Road (opposite Mount Argus) from 3:30pm – 5:30 pm on Friday, the 26th of November for family and close friends only. Cremation in Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross at 10:00am on Saturday, the 27th of November. COVID restrictions apply. No flowers please.

Noelle Kelly (née Barry)
Emmet, Mountmellick, Laois

Formerly of Maynooth, Co. Kildare. Died, suddenly, at her residence. Missed by her partner William Bracken, sons Steven, Dj, David and daughters Anne Marie and Niamh.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on tonight Friday from 7pm. Recital of the Rosary at 9pm Requiem Mass on Saturday in St Joseph’s Church Mountmellick at 11am. Burial afterwards in Laraghbryan Cemetery, Maynooth arriving approximately at 1.30pm.
