There was great excitement in a Laois secondary school last week as a new group of First Years settled in.
They were welcomed to Portlaoise CBS by the Meitheal leaders last Tuesday.
Each group took part in various ice breaker activities as well as becoming familiarised with the school campus and making new friends.
The students also completed their IT training day with some staff members also.
The morning consisted of Office 365 training while the afternoon was specifically iPad training.
They also got to meet their Year Head for this year who is Mr Geoff Brennan.
A spokesperson said: “We hope you all enjoyed the day and thank you so much to our Meitheal leaders on doing such a great job.”
