Tom Murphy
Upper Newcastle, Galway City, Galway / Ballybrittas, Laois

Tom passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the care of Brampton Care Home, Oranmore on 4 February, 2023. Pre-deceased by his son Micheál and by his siblings Dick, Billy, Con, Tess and Breege.

Beloved husband of Mary and much-loved father of Seán, Liam, Siobhán, Padraic, Enda, Deirdre and the late Micheál. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife, sons and daughters, brothers Mick, Fr Seán and Jim, sisters Mary and Rose, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law. Lovingly remembered by his fourteen adored grandchildren and great-grandchild who Tom was very proud of. He will be also missed by the extended Murphy and Earley family, kind neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Tuesday, 7 February, from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Arriving at Galway Cathedral on Wednesday, 8 February, in advance of Requiem Mass at 12 noon, and after Mass Tom will be laid to rest in Bohermore Cemetery.

Family flowers only. Donations, if preferred, to St Vincent de Paul.

Pat Staunton
Ballyouskill, Kilkenny / Ballyouskill, Laois

Peacefully at his residence. Husband of the late Mai. Predeceased by his sister Marie. Deeply regretted by his loving sons John & Niall, daughter in law Caroline, Niall’s partner Elaine, sisters Betty & Breda, brother Jim, brother in law, sister in law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours & friends.

Reposing at Phelan’s Funeral Home, Durrow, from 2.00pm on Monday with Rosary at 7.00pm. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill on Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Marian Ave, Portlaoise, Laois

Amy Dunphy, died 2nd February, unexpectedly at home. Predeceased by her infant child Jamie and partner TJ. Deeply regretted by her son Brody, her heartbroken parents Anthony and Sharon, her sister Gemma, brother in law Gary, niece Ava, nephew Noah, grandmother Teresa, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 3 pm with rosary at 8 pm . Removal on Monday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon mass, https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Suddenly. Beloved husband of Ella and dear father to Julieanne, Catherine, Elma and Pat. Deeply regretted by his loving family, his sister Breda, brothers Eamon and Seamus, daughter in law Chloe, sons in law Noel and Paul, brothers in law, sisters in law, grandchildren Hannah, Emma, William, Thomas, Padraig and Patrick, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence from 12.00 noon on Saturday with prayers at 8.00pm. Reposing also on Sunday from 12.00 noon with prayers at 6.00pm. Removal to Holy Trinity Church, Durrow on Monday morning for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Elly Viriato Dom Mazapi, Colliers Wood, Portlaosie, January 25th 2023 Unexpectedly at home. Beloved son to Adel and Jose. Much loved brother to Celma, Naasson and Leia and Precious uncle to Cameron. He will be sadly missed by his mother, father, brothers, sisters, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5.30pm until 7pm with prayers at 6pm. Removal on Saturday morning arriving at SS Peter & Paul’s Church for funeral prayers at 12 noon. https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Interment afterwards in SS Peter & Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
