Ballacolla and Dublin, unexpectedly . Predeceased by his mother and father and brother John. Deeply regretted by his brothers Tom and Noel, sisters Chris Carroll and Mar, nephews Derek, Patrick and Kenneth, nieces Sinead, Louise, Sharon and Karen, aunt Joan Dunne, sister-in-law Marie, Noel’s partner Emily, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family and many friends.

Kieran O’Sullivan, Undertaker, The Showgrounds, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, 15th April 2023. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Mai. Peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving wife Mary and daughters Sarah and Louise. Sadly missed by his sisters Margaret (Delaney), Kay (O’Connell), Ann (Koch), Ellen (Delaney) and Rose (Barrett), brothers-in-law Jimmy, Tom, Frank, Noel and Dan, uncle Fintan, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home Rathdowney (R32 NY24) on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm with rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday 19th at 12 noon in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney (https://www.parishwebsites.ie/rathdowney/) followed by burial in Bealady Cemetery. House Private. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Kieran can be made to The Irish Cancer Society. The family would like to sincerely thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of St. James’s Hospital and the Laois/Offaly Palliative Care Team for their wonderful care of Kieran.

Philomena Farrell (née Culletion)

Died peacefully on Saturday 15th of April in the presence of her loving family.

Predeceased by her brothers Martin, John, Michael, Tony, PJ and Dan and her sisters Liz and Nora.

Beloved and heartbroken husband Matt, loving mother to Mary, Matthew, Shirley and Pauric. Cherished nannie to Katie, Ben and Ali, Oren and Eli, Adam, Matthew and Sophie, great-grand mother to Caiden. Heartbroken and adored sister Ann. Her sons-in-law Derek and Thomas. Her sisters Mary, Chriss, Patricia and Bernie. Deeply regretted by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick on Monday from 8pm. Recital of The Rosary at 9.30pm. Removal from her home on Tuesday morning at 11.30am to St Joseph’s Church Mountmellick arriving for 12 o’clock Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Joseph’s Cemetery.

House private please.

Kathleen Cassidy Upper Forest, Mountmellick Co. Laois died April 15th peacefully in the loving care of The Staff at Oak Dale Nursing Home Portarlington. Deeply regretted by her cousins, relatives, neighbours and her friends.

Reposing Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick on Monday evening from 5.30pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7pm. Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 10am. Removal at 10.30am to St.Mary’s Church, Clonaghadoo for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St Marys Cemetery.

Mary Whalley (née Coleman)
Closeland, Ballybrittas, Laois

Mary Whalley (nee) Coleman, England and formerly Closeland, Ballybrittas, Co. Laois.

Mary passed away after a short illness surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents William and Bridget.

Deeply regretted by her loving son Michael, daughter Sinead and son in law Tom and adored grandchild Alfie. Sadly missed by her brothers Willie and Tom, sisters Alice (Maher), Breda (McCormack) and Ann (Duffy).

Brothers in law Stephen McCormack and Willie Duffy, sister in law Bridie Coleman, nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and loved by so many who knew her through her years of nursing. Mary’s Requiem Mass will take place on Tuesday, 18th of April, in Saint Patrick’s Marshside at 1.30pm and can be viewed on
