Clonaslee High Nelly Club seeking new members as they host open day

Clonaslee High Nelly Club is hosting an open day on Sunday, April 6, from 11am to 4pm in The Square, Clonaslee.

The club, formed in 2019 by vintage bicycle enthusiasts, is always seeking new members.

Clonaslee High Nelly Club committee said: “A number of club members will be on hand on the day to answer any questions, and we’ll have a selection of bikes available for short cycles.

“We welcome people of all abilities, and you’ll be supported by our experienced members if you’d like to test a bike.

“The High Nelly bike has a rich and storied history and the process of restoring and maintaining the bikes is a fascinating one.

“The club has helmed a number of successful fundraising efforts and members enjoy a jovial social scene, so we encourage all reading to join us on Sunday.

“We welcome all contributions to the club.

“The High Nelly Club has enjoyed an amazing first five years thanks to the support of so many in the locality.

“For our next five, we want to welcome as many new members as we can! You’ll find plenty of craic and a great group of people along the way.

“Have you ever thought about joining the High Nelly Club or learning more about vintage bikes? Are you over 16? If so, this day is for you.

“There will be live music and light refreshments and an enjoyable day for all promised. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.”
