Mountmellick Renovation Clinic in Response to Public Interest
New Clinic Date Announced – Mountmellick Library, Friday 17th October.
Laois County Council’s Regeneration Section has decided to hold additional clinics advising people on the grants that that are available to renovate vacant and derelict properties.
This is due to an overwhelming response to the initial drop-in clinics held earlier in Portlaoise, Mountrath and Portarlington Libraries in June, July, August & September.
The fully attended sessions have prompted the launch of an additional event taking place at Mountmellick Library to start the county-wide roll-out.
This expanded initiative supports property owners and prospective buyers across Laois who are seeking to transform vacant and derelict residential buildings into homes.
Organised by Laois County Council Regeneration Unit these free clinics offer practical advice and tailored guidance on renovation grants under the Croí Cónaithe (Towns) Fund.

Town Regeneration Officer, Denise Rainey said: “The Vacant Property Refurbishment grant is a great initiative designed to bring vacant and derelict properties back to life.
“I would encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about these grants or has a property in mind and wants to hear more about the application process, please come along to our clinic in Mountmellick library on 17th October.”
