We decided to dig into our own Timahoe-related archives and the Medley Day from 2003 in the village.

As you’d expect Alf Harvey’s images have unearthed some brilliant photos.

Medley day has been a tradition that has been going on yearly in Timahoe up until it was replaced by the Timahoe Viking Festival in 2019.

The Viking Festival took a short break in 2020 and 2021 due to lockdown but returned for 2022 and 2023.

It looks likely that the Viking Festival will continue as a yearly tradition in the Round Tower Village.

Huge crowds now gather yearly in Timahoe for a weekend that is action packed with fun filled activities such as Viking Battles, Fun Runs, Arts and Crafts and much more.

However Medley Day will long be remembered in Timahoe and you can have get flashbacks of the event though the images below.

In what seemed to be a fantastic day, the Leinster Senior Football trophy even made an appearance at the festival.
