Gardaí have arrested one man and sealed off a property in Portarlington following the discovery of a fully functional grow house yesterday evening.
Gardaí carried out a planned search of the house at 6:30pm after securing a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Upon entering the premises, they found around 100 cannabis plants at various stages of growth.
A man, originally from the Dublin area and aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene.
Gardaí say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
